Who can apply?
We are looking for artists of all beliefs, opinions, walks of life, backgrounds, and ideas, who believe it is time to start building bridges, strengthening our community, and harnessing the power of humble conversation and compelling artwork.
Anonymity
Artist’s work will be displayed anonymously to encourage attendees and artists alike to be open-minded, discuss topics and the artwork mindfully, as well as protect any artists from unwanted attention.
the gift shop
The exhibition gift shop is a way for the exhibiting artists to earn money and for attendees to support the arts. We encourage all exhibiting artists to submit merchandise to be sold at the gift shop, and will provide small-scale manufacturing services for artists who do not yet have an inventory.
how do i get in?
Artists will be accepted into the SiMa Arts Exhibition based off of merit, portfolio, and their answers to the application questions. After artists have been accepted, they will create an original work inspired by the exhibition theme.
Selling your art
Artists have the option of listing their work as for sale, not for sale, or silent auction. Purchased artwork may be claimed at the end of the exhibition. SiMa takes a small commission of 15% from all sales during the exhibition.
application fee
Application Fee: $25 non-refundable.
If you are accepted, the application fee will be used to cover most of the cost of your food and drink for the evening; the rest is on us!
